About the Role
Boys & Girls Aid is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and success of youth in foster care, juvenile justice, and homelessness.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate skill-building and positive youth development opportunities to improve outcomes for youth in areas of permanency, wellbeing, education, and employment.
- Work with Program Leadership to develop and incorporate learning in areas such as healthy relationships, financial literacy, vocational/educational supports, and tenant readiness.
- Support youth in engaging pro-social experiences within their communities and provide opportunities for success and learning in real-life situations.
- Provide family mediation and conflict resolution to advance permanency and support positive exit and stability outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social services, Psychology, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience and/or lived experience.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
