Office Support Specialist

Comhar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Office Technician to join our team. As an Office Technician, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of office experience.
About the Role
This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The salary for this role is $17.00 per hour, which translates to a yearly salary of $35,360. In addition to your hourly wage, you will also receive a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
As an Office Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating professional phone communication by answering incoming calls, taking messages, and making appointment reminders.
- Scheduling prescribers and assisting with scheduling changes.
- Providing exceptional customer service to consumers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Entering consumer information into electronic health records (EHR) and assisting with initial intake tasks.
- Verifying consumer insurance eligibility consistently.
- Filing and retrieving charts as needed.
- Checking consumers in and out, providing transportation passes, and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Assisting with monitoring and reminders to staff and consumers to ensure recovery and treatment plans are up-to-date.
- Facilitating behavioral health services through effective communication with consumers.
- Maintaining professionalism while working independently and collaboratively with the team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma (or GED) and at least two years of office experience or related experience.
- Associate's Degree and at least two years of office experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills required.
- Basic understanding of accounting and personnel management principles.
- Valid PA State Criminal, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances.
- Clearances must be updated every three years according to COMHAR policy.
- Current ACT 31 (Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse Certificate).
- Licensed individuals must renew every two years; non-licensed individuals must renew every five years.
- Adult and Child CPR w/AED & First Aid certification required.
