About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Day Staff member to join our team at Academy of the Sacred Heart. As a key member of our Enrichment Program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children grades PreK- Grade 8 to engage in various activities after school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Activities: Coordinate and lead activities in assigned small groups, ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all participants.
  • Ensure Student Safety: Monitor and maintain a safe environment during activities, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Hygiene and Social Distancing: Ensure that students maintain good hygiene and social distancing habits in assigned small groups.
  • Snack Preparation and Supervision: Prepare and supervise student snacks, taking into account dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Sign-In and Sign-Out Procedures: Oversee daily sign-in and sign-out procedures, ensuring accurate records and timely communication with parents.
  • Safety and Emergency Procedures: Follow established safety and emergency procedures, reporting any concerns or incidents to the Extended Day/Enrichment Coordinator.
  • Daily Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in daily cleaning and sanitization procedures, maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all students.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in childcare, camp, or similar settings is required.
  • Certifications: Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Skills: Adept at multitasking, self-starter, and efficient time management. Ability to work well with students and colleagues, serving as a positive role model and mentor.
