Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering world-class eye care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with patients to gather information and accurately document their medical history, chief complaint, and present illness.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.
  • Assist with minor surgery procedures, intraocular injections, and laser treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Educate patients on medication administration, pre and post-operative instructions, and general eye care information.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and ensuring seamless communication with our healthcare team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; electronic medical records (EMR) experience and knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and drive a motor vehicle.
  • Entry-level position with 0-3 years of experience; willingness to learn and grow with our organization.
