About the Role

The Maintenance Director will oversee the physical plant maintenance and grounds upkeep at iCare Health Network's nursing home facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, while also meeting regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure that all facilities are maintained at all times.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Review and maintain preventive maintenance logs to ensure that regular maintenance is performed on a scheduled basis.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to maintenance staff, including basic plumbing and electrical skills, in accordance with regulations and company policies.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Ensure that all repair work is completed on wheelchairs, beds, furniture, dryers, air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, floors, and ceilings.
  • Employee Relations: Work closely with the Administrator to manage employee relations and ensure a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Administrator to manage and operate within the allotted budget, including ordering supplies and equipment and planning for future projects.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four years' experience in maintenance work, required.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, plant maintenance, and HVAC, required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal building codes, required.
  • Supervisory experience in the maintenance field, required.
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, required.
