At Innovista Medical Center, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and transforming the healthcare experience. As a Medical Assistant I, you'll play a vital role in supporting our examination and treatment processes, working under the guidance of a physician or nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients, record vital signs, and update patient charts.
  • Assist in managing daily patient flow as needed.
  • Provide direct patient care, perform indirect patient care activities, and conduct laboratory tests under the supervision of a physician or nurse.
  • Maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
  • Administer vaccines, medications, EKGs, and assist with procedures/treatments under physician supervision.

Requirements:

  • High school or technical school education is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience demonstrating the ability to perform described duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), patient technician, or Home Health Aide.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems, particularly EPIC, is highly preferred.
