Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Assistant I is a vital member of our laboratory team, responsible for the processing, organizing, labeling, and transporting of specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate labeling and transportation.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including automated instrumentation, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Enter data into the Laboratory Information System, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure smooth workflow and efficient specimen processing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
