Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Companion Pet Partners, LLC. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our veterinary clinic.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary technology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a member of our team, you will assist veterinarians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor patient vital signs, collect samples, and administer medications
- Prepare and assist with diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures
- Fill prescriptions and administer medications, including proper documentation and logging
- Operate and maintain hospital equipment, including EKG, fluid pump, syringe pump, scales, and anesthetic monitors and machines
- Anesthetize animals and monitor anesthesia under the direction and supervision of the veterinarian
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with industry advancements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician
- RVT, LVT, or CVT certification required
- Confident with anesthesia monitoring, pre/post-op care, and dental assisting
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and calculations
- Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, and unpleasant odors
