Job Summary

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the administration of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Administration: Review and verify invoices, purchase requests, and vendor records to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, obtain required tax reporting forms, and ensure compliance with ASM Global's tax reporting requirements.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments, respond to vendor inquiries, and provide advice on company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Reconcile vendor statements, resolve account balance differences, and obtain vendor credit memos as needed.
  • Expense Reimbursement: Review and process employee expense reimbursements, ensuring invoices and payment requests are complete.
  • Check Preparation: Prepare weekly check runs, obtain staff accountant approval, and distribute processed payments.
  • Deposit Preparation: Prepare daily deposits and maintain petty cash.
  • Data Entry: Complete data entry into accounting software.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. in Accounting or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, talk, and hear.
Working Conditions
