Role Responsibilities

As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will operate under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Your projects may encompass new construction and renovations across various sectors, including education, healthcare, sports, corporate, and technology.

Key Duties Include:

  • Creating detailed construction drawings and specifications for electrical engineering systems.
  • Designing lighting, power distribution, communication, and telecommunication systems for diverse clients, including fire alarm systems, with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluating engineering documents and arranging systems concerning components and parts while addressing design challenges.
  • Engaging in value engineering discussions with the Architectural/Engineering team.
  • Utilizing knowledge of electrical codes to inform building power distribution design and circuiting.
  • Proposing enhancements based on reference standards and processes to elevate quality and efficiency.
  • Assisting in the review and markup of shop drawings and submittals.
  • Gathering information to address RFIs and reviewing change orders in the construction documentation process.
  • Conducting site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may involve physical walkthroughs.
  • Traveling as necessary.
  • Maintaining professional business attire during client meetings, which includes suits, ties, collared shirts, dresses, and skirts.
  • Performing additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Electrical Systems focus) from an ABET accredited program.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States is preferred.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit) is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $61,560.00 and $76,950.00 annually. This range reflects our expectations for base compensation at the time of posting, and actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level. Employees may also qualify for discretionary bonuses.
