Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collecting high-quality blood samples for laboratory testing. As a PSR II, you will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient specimen collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using aseptic techniques and following established protocols.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Provide excellent patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to resolve any issues or concerns related to specimen collection or testing.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
