The RoleAs a Creative Building Professional, your primary role will be working on the preliminary design for commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and multi-family projects. This position requires a strong eye for design, creative thinking, and an understanding of the technical nature of buildings.
You will work collaboratively with our design team and principals to create preliminary design documents for ownership review and approval. Your artistic ability and creativity are essential for this role, as well as your ability to envision three-dimensional spaces.
This position also involves heavy client interaction, so good communication skills are critical. You will be responsible for working with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and for presenting design concepts and solutions to them.
A Day in the Life- Work collaboratively with the design department to create beautiful and functional buildings and projects.
- Utilize hand drawings, sketches, or computer software to create project deliverables.
- Utilize company-approved project checklists to back-check document deliverables.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
- Ensure each project complies with state and local building codes.
- Communicate and work with internal staff to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare documents and presentations for city entitlements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited college or university.
- At least 3 years of related architectural experience with a strong focus on the design side of the profession.
- Strong organizational, technical, and project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of quality.
- A deadline-driven individual.
- Ability to take direction and collaborate with a team.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and graphically with clients and consultants.
- Able to generate visually appealing architectural graphics.
