Pet Grooming Specialist

As a Pet Grooming Specialist at Pet Supplies Plus, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our community. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Providing grooming services that include brushing, bathing, and conditioning to ensure pets look and feel great.
  • Styling pets according to their owners' preferences and adhering to breed standards.
  • Prioritizing the health and safety of all furry clients during grooming sessions.
  • Building lasting relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and suggesting appropriate products and services.
  • Engaging in community outreach to draw new customers to our store.
  • Maintaining a clean and welcoming grooming environment.
  • Supporting fellow team members during quieter periods in the grooming area.
  • Completing necessary training and certification programs to enhance your skills.

Qualifications for Pet Grooming Specialists:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of grooming experience with formal training or mentorship under a certified groomer, or a willingness to participate in our training program.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in retail or a service-oriented role with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to lift or move items, including pets, weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • All candidates must successfully pass background checks and assessments.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
