Job Title: Coating Specialist

At Durham Manufacturing Company, we are seeking a skilled Coating Specialist to oversee the powder coating process of our metal products. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting production standards.



Responsibilities:


  • Apply powder coating to metal products, adhering to production standards
  • Hang products onto the overhead conveyor with precision
  • Clean booth as required for color changes
  • Inspect products for defects and promptly report nonstandard conditions
  • Maintain a consistent pace according to job production standards
  • Follow safety procedures, including the proper use of equipment and reporting unsafe conditions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supporting a positive and productive work environment


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manual dexterity and physical ability to handle products, load them onto overhead conveyor lines, and perform inspections
  • Ability to follow directions accurately and apply paint products with precision
  • Capability to lift or move materials weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Efficient work ethic in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Successful completion of a medical questionnaire and fitting for a respirator (no facial hair due to respirator program)
