Job Summary

The Fabrication Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of welds, paint, powder coat, and metal fabrication for products manufactured, packaged, and assembled at the DI Campus and Randleman location.

This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance and fabrication principles, as well as the ability to read and interpret documents, mechanical drawings, and welding and coating symbols.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in roles related to quality assurance and/or fabrication, and will be certified as a Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQQI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all fabricated material meets predefined inspection criteria and is in conformance with design documents, customer specifications, and industry standards.
  • Recognize and understand a wide variety of welding techniques.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure it is performing to standard.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and inputting data into a database.
  • Identify and follow proper procedure for all non-conforming material.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in roles related to quality assurance and/or fabrication.
  • Certified as a Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQQI).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, mechanical drawings, and welding and coating symbols.
  • Manual dexterity to operate digital equipment, including computers and PLC's.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and manipulate heavy test equipment and cables.
