Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical expertise.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive plans of care, incorporating education and family planning.
  • Manage complex patient assignments and coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct self in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing with a focus on Nurse Midwifery.
  • Two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Nurse Midwife, or four years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery or Women's Health services.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas or Compact State, and APRN licensure with prescriptive authority.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
