As a Series-C unicorn startup, our headquarters is located in a prominent tech hub, with additional offices in major cities. A minimum of 4 days per week onsite is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a forward-thinking communications strategy that aligns with our mission to enhance the accessibility and availability of local information, aiming to empower individuals to lead safer, more connected lives.
- Produce diverse communication materials, including press releases, blog entries, email newsletters, and social media content, to showcase our value to over 20,000 local communities, fostering connections among users, content creators, and advertisers.
- Manage relationships with the media, including pitching stories, addressing press inquiries, and cultivating connections with key journalists and industry influencers.
- Oversee the company's social media initiatives, ensuring a dynamic and engaging presence across various platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, business development, sales, and leadership, to maintain consistent messaging and branding.
- Partner with top-tier PR firms to gain strategic insights and enhance the effectiveness of our communication efforts.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor communications to identify opportunities and challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within the technology sector, with a proven ability to drive impactful communication strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in managing social media platforms and skilled at creating engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, with a solid network of media contacts and the ability to effectively pitch stories.
- Strong ownership mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to accountability for achieving results.
- Creative thinker with keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills to evaluate campaign performance and optimize strategies.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while working independently and collaboratively.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on various factors including job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and relevant education or training. Our overall rewards package is designed to attract top talent, and depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and options.
