Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in defining the guest's experience. Your duties will include administrative responsibilities and serving as the initial point of contact for guests, setting a positive tone for their stay. You will be knowledgeable about hotel standards, guest expectations, and the surrounding area. This role reports to the Front Desk Supervisor and the General Manager.

Daily Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include the following:

  1. Key Responsibilities
    • Warmly greet all guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
    • Handle sensitive information, including guest records, with utmost confidentiality.
    • Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries, taking accurate messages as needed.
    • Oversee cash drawer transactions during your shift.
    • Maintain accurate records using the hotel's property management system.
    • Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for solutions that align with hotel policies.
    • Ensure that common areas, including the lobby, are clean and organized.
  2. Additional Duties
    • Engage with guests courteously, addressing inquiries and fulfilling their needs.
    • Gather feedback from guests to identify improvement areas and share positive comments with the team.
    • Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments effectively.
    • Ensure accuracy in reservations and billing.
    • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including guest interactions and administrative duties.
    • Keep the front desk area organized and presentable to enhance guest impressions.
    • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments for seamless operations.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to find solutions and prevent recurring issues.
    • Address and resolve guest concerns tactfully, escalating complex matters when necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability for morning and evening shifts
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays
