We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and team-oriented Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team.

As a vital member of the team responsible for the infrastructure and reliability of our platform, you will engage with advanced technology to scale our national interoperability platform, collaborate across engineering teams to boost productivity, and refine automation processes to consistently deliver value to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with various engineering teams to assess service requirements and jointly design effective solutions.

Lead projects with service owners to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and develop Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to ensure systems are meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Implement and uphold security best practices across the organization.

Minimize operational toil and maintain a high level of automation by adopting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and utilizing GitOps methodologies.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our platforms and services, including technologies and specifications within the highly regulated healthcare sector.

Promote and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices, standards, and processes.

Participate in and improve our 24/7 on-call and incident management protocols.

Design, implement, and optimize telemetry, logging, and alerting systems to minimize downtime and proactively identify potential incidents.

Refine or restructure existing processes and technologies to align with serverless architecture.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

7+ years of experience with enterprise SaaS solutions hosted on cloud platforms.

Extensive expertise in managing containerized microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, GKE).

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking protocols (CentOS, RLE, TLS, PKI, DNS, SMTP, SSH, etc.).

5+ years of progressive experience in a public cloud environment.

Experience with code repository management, security scanning, and version control (GitHub, GitLab, etc.).

Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Hands-on experience implementing and managing observability tools (preferably Prometheus, Datadog, Google Explorer, etc.).

Experience managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

Substantial experience participating in 24/7 on-call rotations, managing runbooks, and creating documentation.

Preferred Skills:
3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including Certificate Authority (CA), Registration Authority (RA), and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

Experience in implementing and managing cloud security solutions, including Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions like Google Armor and Rapid7 MDR.
