In this role, you will apply your comprehensive understanding of exercise science and nutrition to create customized fitness programs tailored to each client's specific physical abilities. Engage with clients, respond to their questions regarding gym equipment, health products, and services, and provide outstanding customer service throughout their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed evaluations of clients' fitness levels, health conditions, and capabilities to develop appropriate fitness plans.
  • Create personalized workout regimens that correspond with clients' objectives and current physical conditions.
  • Instruct clients on correct exercise techniques, particularly with complex equipment, to minimize the risk of injury.
  • Continuously track clients' progress, modifying fitness plans as needed based on changes in their physical capabilities or goals.
  • Uphold gym policies and safety standards to ensure a secure workout environment.
  • Guide clients on healthy lifestyle choices that support their fitness goals.
  • Provide basic first aid when necessary, including addressing minor injuries and ensuring equipment cleanliness for client use.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Valid personal training certification from a recognized organization
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a personal trainer
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid
  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related discipline
  • Experience in sales
