Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or medical doctor, ensuring accurate dosages and timely delivery.
- Patient Monitoring: Monitor and record patients' vital signs and medical history, identifying any potential health risks or concerns.
- Case Staffing: Participate in case staffing with other direct care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.
- Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders: Monitor and observe clients for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, responding appropriately and providing necessary support.
- Detoxification Treatment: Deliver and monitor detoxification treatment per agency medical/pharmacy protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Infection Control: Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring timely and efficient access to patient information.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; LPN/RN licensure preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in medical care or a related field; experience working with patients with mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; basic computer skills and knowledge of medical software.
