Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Logistec is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled HR professional to play an advisory role to managers and staff throughout our network of ports and terminals in the United States. The successful candidate will provide timely information and thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy for all levels of the company on HR issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR expertise in the management and resolution of various employee relations issues, including unionized employees.
  • Partner with management to develop and implement effective human resources policies and practices, measure progress and results, and ensure consistent application.
  • Participate in the development of HR programs, including talent acquisition, talent management, training, compensation, labor relations, and learning and development.
  • Act as a resource person for all employees and provide coaching and guidance on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Create, analyze, and interpret key HR performance data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or industrial relations.
  • Minimum of five to eight years of experience in the HR Business Partner role.
  • Demonstrated experience in various HR functional areas, especially employee relations, change management, and HR operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite tools and good command of social media, including LinkedIn.
  • Extensive experience using HRIS and other HR systems and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM certification is an asset.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
