KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Physical Security Project Manager, you will oversee security design and installation initiatives across North America. Your role encompasses managing all facets of the project from initial engagement to completion, including the oversight of multiple projects and scopes of work.

POSITION DUTIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Project Management

  • Define project timelines, scope parameters, and oversee security design and implementation in accordance with client specifications.
  • Lead initial project activities and develop comprehensive project security scope, timelines, critical deliverables, and requirements.
  • Manage scheduling, status updates, and tracking of key project tasks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and manage Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for security system installations.
  • Assess RFP submissions and create evaluation reports, including criteria, scoring, and recommendations.

Design Oversight

  • Conduct security site assessments of potential client properties and review proposed design concepts.
  • Apply client design standards to ongoing site designs, collaborating with stakeholders to define use cases and validate functional requirements, producing a security functional specification.
  • Review all security system design documentation for adherence to established security requirements and technical standards.
  • Provide feedback on documentation with necessary corrections and log issues as needed.

Client Engagement

  • Ensure clients are kept informed of project progress, including budget, timelines, and issues, while managing expectations through effective communication.

Collaboration

  • Act as the primary security contact for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular project design, management, and construction meetings.
  • Coordinate site activation activities for physical security among project stakeholders to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Work with ZBeta design resources to develop comprehensive scope of work documents for security system procurement and installation.

Documentation and Quality Control

  • Generate project status reports and meet with client stakeholders weekly to address high-priority issues.
  • Document all instances of issue resolutions that deviate from established client security requirements for effective reporting.
  • Conduct on-site inspections during construction and installation, as well as final acceptance testing of completed systems.
  • Manage project lessons learned, site metrics evaluation, and contractor performance assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, ideally in consulting with external clients on complex, fast-paced projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with low voltage and physical security technologies and design principles.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Studio and Bluebeam is advantageous; experience with project management tools like MS Project, SharePoint, and QuickBase.
  • Abilities: Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences; ability to identify critical path activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
