Role Overview:

This position is essential for supporting various functions within the prototype division, enabling the creation of products and services that align with departmental and organizational objectives.

As a Prototype Manufacturing Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Executing measurement setups and operations across several domains: prototype evaluation, machining (CNC & manual lathes, CNC & manual mills, CNC wire cutting), grinding, and forming (stamping) among other prototype tasks.
  • Designing, modifying, or constructing components or tools based on technical drawings as part of assigned projects. Additionally, conducting specific tests, inspections, and/or standardized analyses on projects while maintaining accurate records and reporting data as required.
  • Receiving work instructions and tasks from supervisory or engineering personnel, which may range from specific to broad assignments.
  • Utilizing computer systems effectively (Microsoft Office or other relevant software).
  • Having offline programming skills is advantageous (familiarity with CAD systems).
  • Demonstrating proficiency in measurement and calculations using micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools.
  • Collaborating as part of a team under the guidance of leadership to achieve timely delivery goals and providing necessary support to meet client requirements. Assisting in the training of new employees on relevant processes, tasks, and operations.
  • Engaging in existing quality systems, calibration, and audits.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical trade, or an associate degree with at least 3 years of experience in a mechanical trade.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or other certification in a technical training program in a mechanical trade is preferred.
