Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Healthcare Reception Specialist encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Handling incoming phone calls
  • Responding to patient inquiries
  • Obtaining necessary pre-authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures
  • Coordinating appointment schedules
  • Processing patient referrals
  • Directing calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Entering patient data into the EMR system
  • Delivering excellent customer service
  • Assisting patients as required
