Job Summary:
This position offers the opportunity to work in Montana, with a 21-day on, 7-day off rotation for out-of-state employees. A live-out allowance is provided while working in the state. As a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator, you will assist in building telecommunications networks and perform directional boring around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects. This role provides a diverse career path and longevity with an industry-leading telecommunications company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate HDD equipment in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Maintain company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
  • Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor
  • Install conduit, vaults, cable, etc. (labor work when not operating equipment)
  • Take an active role in Ledcor's health and safety program
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (CDL A preferred)
  • Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures
  • Ability to track and communicate daily production and materials
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol requirements
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform work on uneven surfaces
  • This position requires travel throughout Montana, with per diem and travel accommodations provided
