Job Description

Overview

Mavin Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our projects from concept to completion. As a Construction Project Manager, you will serve as a guide and leader for our internal team, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. You will maintain a team-oriented environment and positively lead through challenges and obstacles.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate fully in internal meetings
  • Client relations, contracts, business development, and ongoing warranty management
  • Prepare meeting minutes, report monthly on all projects, and respond to request for proposals and attend interviews
  • Pricing oversight, preliminary budgets, collect and analyze bids, project estimating, initial project planning with owners, design oversight, and permitting
  • Submittals, subcontractor solicitation/management, negotiation, review, and define scope by site walk-throughs, scope review, and definition materials
  • Utilize CMiC to manage projects, develop and manage master project schedule, manage site plans, and provide consistent updates
  • Contribute to weekly schedules, lead project kick-off meeting and owner/architect/contractor meetings, oversee subcontractor meetings, and manage non-financial project controls
  • Maintain a safe work environment, track status of job materials, ensure work is completed at the highest quality, and manage all project documents
  • Project financial management, request for information, potential change item, change orders, invoice approvals, billings, cost to completes, issue resolution, project closeout, and additional responsibilities/possible assignments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an assistant project manager or project manager
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software related to project management, accounting, scheduling, estimating, takeoff, and BIM
  • Licensed driver with reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)

Reports to: Director of Operations or Director of Sales (switches annually)

Direct reports: Assistant project managers, superintendents, foremen
