Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Quality Patient Care: Ensure that patients receive the highest level of care by following physician orders, state and federal regulations, and our facility's policies and procedures.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with our facility's policies.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaboration with Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as needed.
  • Treatment and Documentation: Perform scheduled treatments and document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to all regulations and guidelines related to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in research related to quality nursing care and assist with records, orders, and assessments as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse degree from an accredited School of Nursing and current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Certifications and Training: CPR certification and ability to attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise nursing assistants, work well with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, and make decisions regarding patient care.
