Cardiac Transplant Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Transplant Nurse to join our team at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. As a key member of our cardiac transplant unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our program.

About the Role

This is a .9 FTE, night shift position (7pm-7:30am, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiac transplant procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to cardiac transplant patients, including pre- and post-operative care, medication management, and wound care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in cardiac transplant nursing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Current National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.
