Mission Ready Reserve MFLC

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of military Service Members and their families with your expertise in counseling and behavioral health.

As a Mission Ready Reserve Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC), you will provide proactive counseling services to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children)
  • Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs based on your experienced differential clinical skills to military and community resources
  • Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning
  • Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events
Environment:

As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you will work in various indoor and outdoor locations, including military installations, schools, and child development centers.

The indoor locations are controlled by the Department of Defense, and the outdoor locations may involve traversing uneven terrain and exposure to the weather.

Requirements:
  • A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
  • Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in the state where you provide services
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance
