Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at the City of Farmers Branch. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of our city buildings, parks, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including evaluating and repairing systems, replacing parts or controls, and installing new equipment.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including replacing diaphragms, vacuum breakers, and handles on urinals and toilets.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting facilities, and making repairs as needed.
  • Work on special projects and events as assigned, including operating a bucket truck as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Over three years of experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or plumbing preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
  • HVAC training certification or experience preferred.
