Role Summary: Ensuring Adherence to Food Safety Regulations

We are seeking a dedicated Regulatory Specialist to become a vital part of our team, committed to upholding our exceptional standards in quality and food safety. In this role, you will provide essential regulatory support to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that Ditsch meets all legal and customer standards. Additionally, you will guide our product development teams in managing specifications and label creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory and Client Support

  • Keep abreast of changes in regulatory codes and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Advise internal teams on compliance matters pertinent to target markets.
  • Identify regulatory hurdles that may affect commercial prospects and collaborate across departments to address them.
  • Oversee and manage product certifications, including Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO.
  • Prepare and submit documentation to fulfill external customer requirements.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of customer needs and pinpoint issues relevant to new business ventures.

Process and System Management

  • Oversee the approval process for suppliers and ingredients.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance system efficiencies within current processes.
  • Manage the development of product labels and specifications.
  • Maintain documentation for product and process change requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a regulatory capacity within the food sector.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (spreadsheets and word processing).
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement change initiatives.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
