Position Overview

Orion Placement is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join a prominent Family Law firm located in Northern New York. This firm is celebrated for its progressive approach to Family Law, emphasizing conflict resolution and client-centered solutions.

Compensation: The starting salary is contingent upon experience, with the potential for first-year earnings, including bonuses, to reach $175,000.

Work Environment: This role entails approximately 5-10 court appearances monthly within Northeastern New York, with a flexible work-from-home arrangement available when not in court. Relocation assistance is provided if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for clients in family law cases, including mediation sessions and court proceedings.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a team-oriented environment focused on family welfare.
  • Manage cases primarily in designated counties.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to address client needs effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Admission to the relevant state bar.
  • A minimum of one year of litigation experience in a courtroom setting (Family Law experience is not mandatory).
  • Strong skills in research, writing, and verbal communication.
  • Ability to juggle multiple cases while working independently.
  • Familiarity with legal software and tools, including Microsoft Office and Westlaw.
