Job Description

The United Farm Workers of America seeks an experienced and skilled External Organizer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully planning, directing, and coordinating membership growth.

As an External Organizer, you will be responsible for developing operational plans that align with the organization's needs and objectives. This includes managing and directing worker activities during the collective bargaining process.

The selected candidate will participate in meetings with the Organizer Coordinator and Regional Manager to discuss strategic plans and provide input on operational matters. They will also ensure the maintenance of comprehensive databases in assigned companies.

Mission-Critical Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Organizer Coordinator and Regional Manager to develop operational plans.
  • Participate in meetings to learn and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases in assigned companies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate membership growth initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in labor organizing or a related field.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate, although it may be loud at rallies and similar events.

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
