Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography techniques and examinations, conducting a variety of CT procedures, and producing computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
  • Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing
  • Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
  • Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
  • Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time
  • Document all related data
  • Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics
  • Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems
  • Resolve and escalate complex issues
  • Orient and train fellow staff technologists
  • Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations
  • Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - within 12 months - Required
  • Computed Tomography (CT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board - within 12 months - Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - upon hire - Required
  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Technical Diploma Radiology Program Required
  • Pediatric Experience Preferred
