Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 7AM-5:30PM
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently gather orders for dispatch. This includes the movement of products or materials utilizing powered equipment.
Key duties include operating industrial manual and powered pallet jacks, stock pickers, or Hyster lifts while adhering to all regulatory and company guidelines. Candidates must successfully complete licensing certifications for all assigned machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and interpret carton and product labels for order picking.
- Utilize scanners, CRTs, and reports to manage merchandise movement within warehouse locations.
- Monitor schedules to determine which areas to pull from for shipping.
- Document all pull groups and labels for tracking purposes.
- Retrieve racks or cages for order fulfillment.
- Execute order pulls based on provided pull sheets or SKU summaries.
- Transport pulled items to the packing area and organize them appropriately.
- If designated as the floater, prepare orders for packers and ensure proper carton availability.
- Adhere to guidelines for pulling UPS/FEDEX orders, ensuring appropriate limits on rack loads.
- Consult with supervisors or leads for further instructions when no orders are available.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Proficient computer skills are necessary.
- Must follow directions accurately.
- Familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous.
- Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Demonstrated experience in order picking or similar warehouse roles.
- Experience or certification in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, stand-up lifts, reach lifts, and other warehouse machinery.
- Knowledge of voice picking systems or RF devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
