Job SummaryThe Senior Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Rivian's Drive Unit (DU) embedded software. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, identify and troubleshoot software issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute HIL test cases for motor controls and software features, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy.
- Expand test coverage to meet software functional safety-related requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform regression testing, report bugs, provide debugging support, and development validation testing for the team, ensuring seamless integration and quality.
- Upgrade and maintain HIL test stations and other related lab equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software testing and development, with a focus on the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in C and Python programming languages.
- Understanding of electrical circuit concepts and basic schematics.
- Familiarity with testing and quality assurance processes, including experience with requirement and issue tracking management tools.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with various teams, including software developers, test and integration engineers, and system architects.
Rivian offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a competitive salary range of $135,100 - $168,900 (Northern California-based applicants).
