The Food Service Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting patients with suitable meal choices according to their dietary needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively communicating the menu options to patients.
  • Preparing late meal trays for designated patients.
  • Collaborating with fellow team members to ensure quality service.
  • Delivering customer-centric care to the patients served.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • One year of experience in a food service environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to demonstrate job proficiency through practical task performance following training.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills, along with computer terminal operation.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to read menus and engage with patients, visitors, or staff.
