Licensed Practical Nurse Resident Care Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse. This role coordinates and supports the activities of certified nurse assistants and actively participates in the direct care of the resident, following the specific approaches as stated in the plan of care.
Responsibilities- Administer nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Coordinate and support the activities of certified nurse assistants.
- Participate in the direct care of the resident, following the specific approaches as stated in the plan of care.
- Ensure the highest level of care and service to residents.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Currently registered in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- One (1) year experience in the job in order to perform in an acceptable manner.
May be exposed to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from residents or equipment.
EnvironmentStrenuous positions, pushing, lifting residents, and being on feet most of the day.
