Landscape Architect

Join our team of talented professionals at Ackerman-Estvold as a Landscape Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in land planning and design for parks, recreational facilities, highways, and other properties.

• Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects on landscape projects.
• Analyze site conditions such as drainage and structure location for environmental purposes or landscaping plans.
• Integrate existing land features or landscaping into designs.
• Inspect landscape work to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare graphic representations or drawings of proposed plans or designs.
• Review and interpret plans, drawings, site layouts, specifications, or construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture.
• 3+ years of landscape architecture experience in land development.
• Ability to obtain professional licensure (ND) within 2 years of hire.
• Knowledge of landscape elements, design, and construction methods and materials.
• Strong understanding of zoning, subdivision, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Civil 3D preferred.
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp required.
