Overview:
As a vital member of the Promise Zone Program, the Student Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering the well-being of students within the educational environment. This position involves collaboration with school teams to identify and support students requiring social, behavioral, and mental health assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify students in need of support and connect them with resources for personal growth and development.
- Implement intervention strategies in partnership with school support teams.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Engage with students and their families to strengthen home-school relationships.
- Collaborate with school administrators and other team members to meet service expectations.
- Serve as a resource for faculty regarding youth social and behavioral concerns.
- Promote a culturally inclusive and supportive school climate that prioritizes the voices and needs of students.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field, along with two years of professional experience working with school-age youth, or equivalent education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of all required background screenings.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19, with reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals.
