Position Overview

Role: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Gastroenterology Clinic, you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for examinations, administering prescribed medications, assisting in medical procedures, and conducting various diagnostic tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to patients as instructed by the healthcare provider.
  • Engage actively with patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate coordinated care.
  • Assist in performing treatments and procedures, including taking vital signs and maintaining accurate test results.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program is mandatory.
  2. Experience: A minimum of one year in a medical office or patient care setting is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with medical practices, patient care protocols, and medical equipment.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of coding guidelines such as ICD-10 and CPT.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and emergency response.
  • Proficiency in accurate data recording using computer systems.

Certifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Practical Nursing License.
  • BLS certification is required.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
