Position Overview

The Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for delivering quality patient care in various healthcare settings. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Certification Requirements
  • Pennsylvania Practical Nursing License
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer care to patients as instructed by healthcare providers, which includes preparing patients for examinations, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and conducting various tests.
  • Engage actively as a member of the healthcare team to involve patients, families, and caregivers in the care coordination process.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a medical office or patient care setting.
  • Understanding of medical practices, patient care, and familiarity with medical equipment and examination procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical office operations and terminology.
  • Basic familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.
  • Awareness of common safety hazards and necessary precautions.
  • Capability to assist in various treatments and procedures, including taking vital signs and maintaining accurate test results.
  • Proficient in data recording using computer systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
