Position Overview:


As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Gastroenterology Clinic, you will deliver patient care under the supervision of healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for examinations, administering prescribed medications, assisting in medical procedures, and conducting various diagnostic tests.

Your role as an LPN will involve active participation in the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care among patients, families, and caregivers.


Educational Requirements:

1) A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
2) Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program is required.

Experience Requirements:

1) A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or patient care setting is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1) Familiarity with medical practices, patient care, and the use of medical equipment and instruments.
2) Understanding of physician office protocols and medical terminology.
3) Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.
4) Awareness of common safety hazards and precautions.
5) Proficiency in assisting with various treatments and procedures, including taking vital signs and maintaining accurate test results.
6) Competence in accurately recording data using electronic systems.
7) Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.

Licensure and Certifications:

1) A valid Pennsylvania Practical Nursing License is required.
2) BLS certification is mandatory.

Position Details:

Urgency: Normal
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
State License: Must be currently active
Sub Specialty: LPN
General Certifications: BLS/BCLS

Contract Length: 13 weeks.
