Job Title: Metrology Co-Op Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Metrology team as a Co-Op Specialist. This role will provide opportunities to develop new retention methods necessary for evaluating current and next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tests and analyzes R&D samples, new products, and in-process samples when needed and in a timely manner.
  • Develops new retention methods to evaluate current and next-generation products.
  • Studies nanoparticle-membrane interaction mechanisms using analytical methods like fluorescence spectrophotometry, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and Gel permeation chromatography (GPC), etc.
  • Collects, interprets, and reviews experimental data regularly with the analytical team.
  • Drawing sound scientific conclusions based on data analysis.
  • Uses critical thinking and problem-solving to determine project outlooks.

Requirements:

  • Strong independent operation skills and ability to complete lab work safely.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of the scientific process and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with using Microsoft Excel to review collected data and draw sound conclusions.
  • Willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry, nanoparticles, membrane-based separations, polymer, and/or ICP-MS is desired, but not required.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities and presentation skills.
  • Uses proper controls for analytical instrumentation, validates and verifies data, and takes corrective action when necessary.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and creative problem solver.
