The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Research Lead to join our team at Amazon Go. As a key member of our research organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision solutions that drive innovation in our stores.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced computer vision algorithms and techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our Just Walk Out Technology.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop new features and functionality for our stores.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow in their careers and contribute to the success of the team.

What You'll Need

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in computer vision research and development.
  • 3+ years of experience building models for business applications, with a strong background in machine learning and deep learning.
  • Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C++, or Python, with experience in parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, and data mining.
