Job Overview

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Department Manager to join our team at Sterling McCall Lexus Clear Lake. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for managing the service drive staff, monitoring their performance, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service drive staff and monitor their performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are met to drive business growth.
  • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales and production to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with product changes and new technologies to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in an automotive service department.
  • Experience managing a team of 15+ employees preferred.
  • ADP Dealer Services experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
