Job Summary

Whole Family Health Center Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with board of pharmacy, state, and federal laws, and maintain accurate records.
  2. Business Operations: Drive overall compliance and business results of the pharmacy, focusing on operations, quality, clinical outcomes, and growth.
  3. Staff Development: Develop staff's pharmacologic knowledge through clinical programs and provide drug information to staff, interns, and healthcare professionals.
  4. Pharmacist Tasks: Perform drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management, and review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications.
  5. Customer Service: Model and share customer service best practices, monitor and lead customer service initiatives to continuously improve quality and patient care.
  6. Therapy Monitoring: Monitor drug therapies, advising providers of potential interactions and contraindications.
  7. Medication Adherence: Assist patients with medication adherence issues due to insurance/financial and other life challenges.
  8. Licensure and Professional Development: Maintain current licensure and promote evidence-based medicine by staying up-to-date with new drugs, devices, and medical literature.
  9. Team Leadership: Communicate regularly with team members, make hiring, promotion, and performance management decisions, and promote teamwork to accomplish WFHC pharmacy mission and goals.
  10. Workplace Safety: Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  11. Professional Growth: Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning by attending professional meetings, reviewing medical publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  12. 340B Program: Assist with development of monitoring protocols and efficient and effective internal controls for the 340B Drug Program.
  13. Patient Care: Work as a multidisciplinary team to connect patients to available medical and patient care resources available at WFHC.
  14. Dispensing and Clinical Duties: Prioritize dispensing and clinical duties effectively with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • PharmD degree highly preferred.
  • Current Florida Pharmacist licensure, certified to administer immunizations, in good standing or ability to obtain Florida Pharmacy License within 60 days of start date (if licensed in good standing in another state).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of pharmacy manager experience required at retail pharmacy or community health center.
  • 340B drug program knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Infectious Disease and/or HIV Medicine experience preferred.
