Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the student throughout the day
  • Follow doctor's orders and administer medication as needed
  • Meet with the student's family to discuss their needs and create an action plan
  • Collaborate with the main nurse to ensure the student's care plan is implemented
  • Provide rescue medications for select cases
  • Document progress notes throughout the day
  • Keep the student's parents informed of their condition and provide updates
  • Assist with trach, vents, and G-tubes as needed
Job Qualifications:
  • NYS RN License
  • Fingerprinted by the DOE
  • Recent physical, titers, and PPDs
  • Two forms of ID
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • CPR/BLS certification
