The Shipping Clerk role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our shipping and receiving processes. This position involves verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining records, and preparing items for dispatch, all while adhering to quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procure necessary shipping materials; assess shipping methods; verify identifying information and quantify items for outgoing shipments. Ensure accuracy by cross-referencing with bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation.
  2. Securely wrap pallets of materials and load them into containers and vehicles. Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to transport shipments. Direct received items to appropriate departments.
  3. Update the ERP system to accurately reflect all transactions related to receipts and shipments.
  4. Package components according to customer specifications.
  5. Inspect incoming shipments; verify identifying information and quantify items to ensure alignment with bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders. Report and document any damaged items or discrepancies.
  6. Prepare products for shipment by weighing, packaging, and labeling them in accordance with established processes.
  7. Perform physical tasks such as walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as required.
  8. Regularly lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  9. Maintain equipment in a safe and operational condition.
  10. Perform additional duties as needed within the plant environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid/current work visa.
  2. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  3. Proficient in operating potentially hazardous equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  4. Experience in operating forklifts and driving trucks with trailers is preferred.
  5. Basic computer skills are necessary for this role.
  6. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
